Job Description We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Consultant to guide and support our organization in developing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Private Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model. This individual will play a pivotal role in assessing our long-term needs using well-established frameworks and subsequently crafting a comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmap blueprint.
Job Responsibilities
· Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather input, ensure alignment of RFP requirements with organizational goals, and incorporate diverse perspectives.
· Develop comprehensive RFP documents, outlining project scope, deliverables, and evaluation criteria for the implementation of a Private Cloud IaaS model.
· Provide expertise in evaluating potential vendors and solutions for the proposed infrastructure.
· Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of potential vendors and technologies to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
· Work closely with the internal teams to define technical requirements, performance benchmarks, and service level agreements (SLAs) for the RFP.
· Develop and manage timelines for the entire RFP process, ensuring deadlines are met and the project stays on schedule.
· Maintain detailed records of the RFP process, including vendor communications, evaluations, and final recommendations. Prepare reports & presentation slides for management update.
· Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and procedures throughout the RFP process.
· Identify opportunities for process improvement in the RFP process, implementing best practices for future procurement activities.
· Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth and transparent RFP process.
· Collaborate with potential vendors, addressing inquiries and facilitating communication throughout the RFP process.
Job Qualifications
· Minimum 2 years’ experience in technical bid/RFP writing, preferably for government RFPs, RFIs.
· Strong proofreading and editing skills, attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Familiarity with industry-standard frameworks such as TOGAF, ITIL, or similar for IT infrastructure assessments.
· In-depth knowledge of private cloud infrastructure, IaaS models, and related technologies. In-depth knowledge of cloud computing technologies, trends, and best practices
· Proven experience in designing and implementing Private Cloud Infrastructure as a Service models.
· Proven experience as an IT consultant with a focus on infrastructure planning and cloud technologies.
· Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering complex IT infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
