The team
Big Data team in Singapore is responsible for day-to-day operational services on the infrastructure of Europe (mainly France and UK) and Asia remotely from Singapore. France infrastructure represents approximately 80% of the worldwide production activities of Crédit Agricole CIB in Singapore.
The team works in Asia and Europe time zones, however this role is aligned to follow the Asia working hours (10am to 7pm SGT).
The operational support of the team covers the following technical scope:
• Managing the Big data technology stack like Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL database HBASE
• Setting up logging solution using Elasticsearch stack for production based applications
• Infrastructure support required for maintaining the technology stack.
• Performing day-to-day operations to ensure Big Data clusters are always up and highly available.

The Big Data Junior Engineer role provides candidate an exposure on how data pipelines are modelled on Hadoop platform from infrastructure perspective; with a focus on ingesting, storing, processing, and analyzing large datasets.
This role is aligned under Big Data operation team in Singapore. This team manages the run operation of Big Data technology stack on the production system.
Main Responsibilities
Primarily, the candidate will be responsible to work on the following projects –
• Vulnerability Scanning and Reporting:
Responsibilities:
• Providing basic level 1 support to developer on queries related to in
• Administering and monitoring of Hadoop cluster;
• Defining the data pipeline for Elasticsearch stack to view data in UI;
• Granting users on Hadoop platform, Kafka and Elasticsearch;
• Coordinating with different infrastructure team like System or Network for fixing the issues.
• In this role, person can additionally gain exposure on the lifecycle of data in the production system for various business use case.
Expected Deliverable:
• Data discovery on Kafka infrastructure;
• File management on Hadoop layer;
• Configuring data pipeline on Elasticsearch stack;
• Extracting data from NoSQL database based on queries provided by developers.
Qualifications and Profile
• Bachelor’s/Master’s/Engineering graduate, or equivalent technical degree in Information Technology or Computer Science;
• Interest in learning how various data are managed in an enterprise environment to deliver the expected business value;
• Interest in gaining practical exposure to large data sets, Hadoop infrastructure, ETL , procedures and controls, IT Service Management Processes;
• Should be excellent in analytical, communication and documentation skills;
• Ability to organize and prioritize work as per the operation’s needs;
• Should have time management skills and able to manage work in fast moving environment;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
