Position: UI/UX Designer
Job Location: 1718 W. Fullerton, Chicago, IL 60614
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Capabilities required across both fields:
• Communicates between Marketing and Web teams and translates various requests and issues
• Maintains and promotes high graphic and branding standards throughout the product’s interface
• Researches and evaluates new trends in digital design, emerging web, and mobile technologies
• Understands user needs by considering market analysis, data, customer and team feedback, research and technical constraints/opportunities with the ability to translate those needs into intuitive solutions
• Identifies UX/UI upgrades required for continuous improvement of the customer experience
• Creates user flows, designs mockups, and programs interfaces along with senior designer
Capabilities required in respective fields:
• UI Design
• Produces all visual design stages and web assets from concept to final using Adobe Creative Suite
• Designs for all device screen sizes, taking into account mobile, tablet, and desktop user when making design decisions
• Simplifies and distills complex processes into intuitive and elegant UI
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or a related field
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with at least one front-end framework (e.g. jQuery, React, Vue.js, Angular)
• Experience with at least one back-end language (e.g. PHP, Python, Java)
• Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience with UX/UI and Responsive Design
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• 1-2 years of experience with web development a plus
