This is a new role in FISS CAO team who will be responsible for leading Business Management and Risk and Control activities across Asia North & Australia and Asia South. This role will be based in Hong Kong, and will report to the FISS Business Manager and Risk & Control Head in New York. This role will directly support the FISS Sales heads in Hong Kong and Singapore, directly managing a small team and working closely with the local Markets CAO team. The FISS CAO team establishes and maintains a robust 1st Line of Defense control environment and culture to minimize operational risk within the business. The ideal candidate should demonstrate proven ability to lead a team and work together with multiple stakeholders across Markets, Compliance, Finance, HR, O&T and Risk. The role requires strong analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills that rely on influence and building effective partnerships to execute our business plans and controls in a systematic, measurable, and effective way. A successful candidate will have the following attributes: The ability to develop relationships and work across business, cluster and functional areas in Citi A Risk and Control mindset A solid understanding of Sales Seasoned project management and technology capabilities Strong understanding of financial concepts Key Responsibilities: Business Management Support sales heads in day-to-day administration of the business Support the business growth strategy and drive implementation of strategy Manage FISS budgetary and headcount requirements, and understand financials and drivers Manage Sales’ plan, outlook processes, and oversee monthly and quarterly business reviews Assist business heads in responding to changes in the environment Governance, Risk & Controls Represent FISS CAO on governance forums in conjunction with the Global FISS Risk and Control team Identify, prioritize and develop execution plans to address any emerging risks or regulatory developments Own development of new Risk and Controls capabilities Ensure the business is run in compliance with all internal and regulatory standards Coordinate regulatory reviews Assist in internal audit reviews, providing materials and address concerns arising from these reviews Work with Sales to instill a strong culture of conduct and control Human Capital Management Manage a team of business management professionals in the Asia clusters (North Asia, South Asia, Japan) Ensure the people strategy and organizational capabilities are aligned to business strategy Attract, develop and retain talent; manage headcount and hiring processes Drive internal mobility, diversity and inclusion priorities as well as location strategies Help manage the mid-year and YE end appraisal processes, compensation, graduate recruitment Experience, Skills and Capabilities: Leadership skills to help manage a large, complex global business Thorough understanding of markets; a minimum of 10 years relevant Markets experience Understanding of the Risk and Controls environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Credibility to lead, manage, motivate and influence a diverse population of direct reports across geographies, functions and matrix reporting lines Superior problem-solving skills; pragmatic approach to ensure limited resources are directed appropriately Have a strong attention to detail and organizational skills ------------------------------------------------- Job Family Group: Business Strategy, Management & Administration ------------------------------------------------- Job Family: Business Management ------------------------------------------------------ Time Type: Full time ------------------------------------------------------ Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
