Reporting to the Senior IT Manager Development of Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Technology, we are looking for a strong hands-on Senior Engineer that is passionate about providing useful, working software that will have a real impact on the way our bank does business. This is an opportunity to drive, solution and develop in the Global Transaction Banking space. The successful candidate will be responsible for development and delivery of software for Corporate Clients, Correspondent Banking and Trade Finance. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies to solve problems of scale and speed.

About this Role
Come build GTB online banking platform with us! We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work on a broad-range of client-facing features. You’ll be exposed to stretch assignments as you take on large-scale, complex, enterprise projects.

In this Position you will:
• Transform Business Requirements and conduct research into winning delivery solutions that meet performance goals
• Contribute to a Product Team (Pod) consisting of a Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Scrum Master, Developer(s) and a group of QA engineers
As a Developer, you will:
• Create and maintain quality code that is maintainable, performant, reliable, scalable and secure
• Write and complete unit and integration tests
• Ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and follow standard security practices
• Configure and develop custom components
• Work closely with other Developers, Designers, Solution Architects and Engineers to design solutions and deliver extraordinary products
• Apply and share your technical expertise and experience
As a Pod Leader and Team-member, you will:
• Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g. development, testing solutions, and tools)
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies
• Contribute to project management activities such as: scope assessment and analysis (e.g. T-shirt sizing and Story Mapping), identifying risks and recommending mitigation measures, as well as escalating and communicating possible issues
• Communicate and collaborate with the broader product team to develop and refine features
• Lead and mentor team members
Job Requirements
What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention.
• 7+ years of experience as a senior software Engineer / Lead Developer delivering scalable and high throughput projects
• Strong experience in:
o Java / Spring-boot or similar technologies
o RESTful APIs
o React, Angular
• Familiarity with Bitbucket/Git, JIRA and Confluence
• Ability to deconstruct requirements into sizeable work tasks
• Readiness and motivation (as a Senior Developer) to address and resolve complex and multi-faceted development-related issues independently
• Hands-on coding, review design, work with architecture stakeholders, lead deployment from technical perspective.
• Ability to communicate with non-technical members of the team
• Effective time and task management skills, including the ability to manage concurrent deliverables
• Self-motivated team player with high energy and ability to work independently as well as within a team
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Able to transform functional requirements, defining the low-level design and execute on the technical end.
• Strength in coaching and advising clients, partners and project teams
• Commitment to and belief in the quality of your deliverables
• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate
Nice to have:
• Working experience in Agile methodology.
• Familiarity with DevOps
• Familiarity with Microservices, MQs
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud
