You will work closely with other R&D engineers and be accountable for product compliance with regulatory and industry requirements. The ideal candidate for this position must be capable of performing in a highly technical work environment and must have demonstrated experience in product safety. Helping develop new products to comply with standards # Participating in engineering and certification tests, prepare setups and validating results # Keep up to date with standards and regulatory matters, with emphasis on product safety # Contribute to environmental compliance (RoHS/REACH) and corporate sustainability practices # Collaborate with technical leaders and product management to define mission profiles and product specifications # Consider the cross-functional requirements to complete components / sub-assemblies product / system specifications Bachelor's degree in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French) Ability to summarize and explain in plain language various technical specifications Experience working within the testing/certification industry, knowledge of the National Electric Code and test methods under CSA, UL, EN/IEC, and other standards Experience working with diverse teams (engineering, product management, marketing) Possess the ability to read and understand policies, regulations, and standards Good oral & written communication in English to be able to communicate and share with partners and colleagues in other Canadian's provicnes and out of Canada And we are being recognized for this too In , Schneider Electric was ranked the world's most sustainable corporation by Corporate Knights – an acknowledgement of our Sustainability Impact - program, and our long-standing commitment to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues.
