You will work closely with other R&D engineers and be accountable for product compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
The ideal candidate for this position must be capable of performing in a highly technical work environment and must have demonstrated experience in product safety.
Helping develop new products to comply with standards
# Participating in engineering and certification tests, prepare setups and validating results
# Keep up to date with standards and regulatory matters, with emphasis on product safety
# Contribute to environmental compliance (RoHS/REACH) and corporate sustainability practices
# Collaborate with technical leaders and product management to define mission profiles and product specifications
# Consider the cross-functional requirements to complete components / sub-assemblies product / system specifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering
Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French)
Ability to summarize and explain in plain language various technical specifications
Experience working within the testing/certification industry, knowledge of the National Electric Code and test methods under CSA, UL, EN/IEC, and other standards
Experience working with diverse teams (engineering, product management, marketing)
Possess the ability to read and understand policies, regulations, and standards
Good oral & written communication in English to be able to communicate and share with partners and colleagues in other Canadian's provicnes and out of Canada
