We are aiming at bringing a revolution in the catalyst materials used for fuel cells and will extend to the whole hydrogen energy field.
We are looking for talents to accelerate the progress.
Educational backgroundPhD degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or related disciplines. In lieu of a degree, the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability. Fresh graduate will also be considered.
Preferred qualifications:
Solid grounding in engineering fundamentals:
electrochemistry, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, heat & mass transfer, chemical kinetics, and materials.
Experience in developing new electrode materials (especially nanomaterials) used in energy conversion/storage devices is a plus.
Experience with PEM fuel cell design and operating principlesTheoretical understanding of electrochemical systems and corrosionExperience in test planning, laboratory experimentation, and data analysisExperience with electrochemical diagnostic methods, including polarization measurement, voltammetry, and electronic impedance spectroscopy.
Strong and proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work both independently and in team contexts, Comfort with a rapid development pace and ability to multitask, Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsMust be able to work from documentation and/or verbal and written instructions depending on the situation.
Strong computer skills. Comfort with Microsoft Office and cloud-based computing programs.
Good command of English, both written and verbal. Understanding Chinese or Cantonese is a plus.
Self-motivated, "can do" attitude and able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities:
Lead research and development projects related to fuel cell electrode/catalyst material development and its electrochemistry (catalysis, corrosion, chemical degradation, etc).Lead and/or monitor collaborative or supplier development initiatives, and work with development teams to create material and component specifications.
Design performance and durability test fixtures and protocols. Implement and manage test campaigns (electrochemical materials, cells, and stacks).Implement, refine, and customize diagnostic and analytical methods.
Contribute to fuel cell design and system/product development initiatives.

The platform will be employed to tackle the pressing challenges in organic light emittingdiodes (OLED) and solid-state lithium ion (Li-ion) battery.
The ultimate objective is to discover next generation materials and design novel devices on computers or in silico.
