Landed in Canada within the last 5 years
Permanent resident of Canada or Canadian Citizen or Person for whom refugee protection has been bestowed under the Immigration Refugee and Protection Act
Have ability to commit for a 6 month full-time role.
Role:
• Collaborate closely with the developers to build and maintain the client-facing platform for both primary brands and resellers.
• Brainstorm and bring forward their opinions when deciding a logic that will be followed to translate a design into functional and visually appealing UI in the most efficient way (Language: JavaScript and Library: React.JS)
• Implement UI elements that mimic the designs provided by the Product Designer, ensuring a consistent and user-friendly experience.
• Write code to execute logic that achieves a desired workflow and create backend code for it.
• Maintain thorough documentation of your work to ensure clear communication and smooth knowledge transfer.
• Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes, incorporating feedback to improve the quality of the product.
• Contribute to the iterative development process by engaging in week-to-week builds with the core team.
• Actively participate in team meetings, offering insights and ideas for high-level development and implementation.
• Embrace an agile development environment, adapting to changes and delivering results in a timely manner.
Your code will be making a direct impact on the eCommerce industry. This is a 6 month full-time role and there is a possibility to extend depending on the fit.
Qualifications:
No formal education needed.
Previous experience in software development, preferably in a Full Stack role - the experience does not have to be of a workplace, it could be your personal projects.
Can explain any complicated logic they develop in very simple terms to other members of the team.
