Role Overview 📝
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at HIVED, you will use your expertise to lead our frontend engineering projects from start to finish. You will take a central position in setting up a scaleable and flexible baseline for the wider HIVED frontend ecosystem. This includes but is not limited to choosing the right technologies for each individual use case, conceptualising and implementing reusable components and architecture as well as improving existing products with new features.
Examples of the products you will be working on include extensive driver mobile apps that provide an effortless and efficient delivery experience for our delivery drivers, top-of-the-class parcel tracking dashboards and apps for our recipients and retailers to manage their orders, as well as many adjacent products. You'll have the opportunity to work with the latest technologies and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders as part of our cross-functional team. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on internal and external products, and you'll see your designs in action making a real difference in the lives of thousands of drivers and millions of customers.

They are great communicators, allowing them to effectively convey ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and understand the best way forward. We believe in a lean and autonomous engineering team. Our engineers hold a large amount of ownership and autonomy and are expected to build in-depth understanding of the solutions they are working on, across the entire stack.
Responsibilities 🎯
• Work within a cross-functional engineering and product team and business stakeholders to create web and mobile apps
• Design client-side architecture and collaborate with other engineers to bring your solutions to life
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design and work closely with our designers and product managers to create shiny new features
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Write both technical and non-technical documentation
Qualifications 🌟
• Proven experience as a Frontend Engineer, preferably with 5+ years of experience
• Experience building accessible and performant interfaces across Web and Mobile
• Experience scaling front-end projects to an organisational level
• Experience in following testing best practices
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail
• An analytical and solution-focussed mind
