Current opportunity: Data Governance Leader
As the Data Governance Leader you will partner with enterprise wide leaders to drive Genworth Australia’s strategy through developing and establishing data governance standards, building healthy cultures to raise awareness and responsibility concerning data governance, coordinating information and data between departments.
What you can expect from the opportunity
• Continue to EVOLVE the Data Governance Strategy for Genworth
• Facilitate enterprise wide adoption and alignment of critical Data Governance deliverables between consumers and providers (e.g. SLAs, Business Rules, Roles and Responsibilities)
• Facilitate master data management workshops and the maintenance of the Enterprise Business Data Model (EBDM)
• Support Information, Technology and Security Risk Committee (ITSRC) objectives
• Co-ordinate the process for the proposal and ratification of Authority and Data Ownership
• Maintain enterprise compliance to Australian Prudential Regulation CPG235 Managing Data Risk (September 2013)
• Build a Data Analyst Community encouraging collaboration, knowledge sharing and cross-functional support on upcoming analytics initiatives in support of Genworth values
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years in a governance role, at years 2 years working in financial services; have an understanding of the challenges and benefits of implementing a data governance and/or quality program; experience working with APRA banking or financial standards; have an understanding of data repository systems (DWH and operational systems) and proven management/supervisory experience of leading a team of 3-5 people.
