About my client/role:
This is a newly created position for my client’s organization. They are seeking for a dynamic individual to join them in their exciting journey – reporting to the Business Unit Lead of Asia They are the manufacturer of high-tech sensors and adhere to the highest standard of safety. Termed as the sensor expert for automation technology, they operate primarily in the automotive, packaging industry, laboratory automation, and intralogistics.
Role & Responsibilities
• Responsible for the definition and execution of the Asia Market safety product portfolio.
• Involved in product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements.
• Work closely to collaborate with internal stakeholders (Product Managers and R&D) across the region.
• Define the product vision; collaborate with engineering, sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.
• Ensure product portfolio supports the company’s directives.
• Specify market requirements for current and future products.
• Provide technical product support and assist with product selection. This may include “proof of concept” solutions or detailed application profiles.
• Own the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to execution.
• Develop and provide training materials and collateral for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide in-depth market analysis on competitive landscapes, trends and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with HQ on marketing materials and new product launches; initiatives for assigned product group.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Self-starter, innovative, analytical and confident.
• Comfortable travelling around the region (20%-30%)
• Knowledge of industrial safety norms and standards is advantageous.
• Possess business acumens and proven ability to support the sales and business development.
• Knowledge of industrial automation sensors process flow
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering / electrical & Electronics Engineering / or equivalent
• Prior experience with product management experience / application engineering / sales of industrial sensors is advantageous.
• Microsoft Office Skills
