Cyber security Cloud Assessment Specialist
The Cybersecurity Cloud Assessment Specialist will support the CISO in continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the Client’s Cloud Cybersecurity program, through end to end design, development and implementation of cybersecurity analytics reporting.
The Cybersecurity Cloud Assessment Specialist will interface with business stakeholders to ensure City development, deployment and management of cloud-based solutions is adequately protected. The Specialist will conduct Technical evaluation of existing cloud structures and provide enhanced security methods to deliver cloud-based solutions.
The successful candidate will be experienced in Cloud solutions (Azure, AWS). The Specialist will use presentation tools to produce slide decks, text, and web-based reports to enable management and other stakeholders to make strategic and tactical Cloud Solution decisions.
The Specialist will be working a hybrid work model but is subject to change, the Specialist may be required to work from Metro Hall located at 55 John Street in Toronto. The successful candidate will be working eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week based on normal working Business Hours.
Assignment Duties
• Provides leadership in the research, designing, planning, implementation, maintenance and support of existing and emerging cloud technologies and systems.
• Assists the organization to securely adopt and operate cloud services and identify areas of improvement for securing the cloud.
• Performs security assessments, threat modeling, cloud architecture reviews on projects/applications moving or deploying to cloud and provide recommendations.
• Develops and documents cloud security standards and guidelines that conform to or exceed industry best practices.
• Assists the security team to implement security controls for cloud environment to protect against cloud specific threats.
• Provides training and guidance to teams to adopt cloud security concepts such as network security in cloud, data security in cloud etc.
Experience And Qualifications
• 7+ years’ experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking.
• Experience in technology/software consulting or equivalent skills.
• Professional experience architecting/deploying/operating solutions built on AWS.
• Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries.
• Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud.
• Experience managing highly available data center operations with responsibility for infrastructure robustness, including networking, server hardware and storage.
• Understanding of Federal Government application, server, and network security requirements such as ICD 503, FISMA and FedRAMP.
