Project Description
As QA Test Lead you will lead the development of a test strategy and team. The strategy will govern scope, schedule, risks, tools, measurements, and reporting. It involves developing and executing repeatable standard operation procedures to maintain high quality and efficiency.
Accountable for ensuring that each deliverable undergoes all the required testing as defined by the testing strategy.
Responsible for working with the project, business and technical teams in order to update and execute the testing strategy according to the project plan as well as communicating on upcoming testing activities and securing logistics.
Work within tight timelines. Excellent communication skills to effectively listen, understand and communicate complex business, functional and technical information with a wide cross section of internal customers as well as external consultants and suppliers.
Activities
The QA Test Lead is responsible for the following components:
• Develop the testing strategy, approach and plan for each module and globally (including data conversion, system integration, and acceptance testing) that align with the overall project schedule;
• Adjust the strategy, approach and plan depending on test results, bug fixing and business decisions.
• Define acceptance criteria and realistic measures
• Maintain the Testing Strategy according to project plan, communicate on upcoming testing activities;
• Organize testing sprints.
• Oversee the retention of test results, approvals, and applicable testing evidence;
• Oversee the defect process, ensuring that defects are documented, prioritized, tracked, and reported to facilitate timely resolution;
• Guide, coordinate and monitor the business analysts and test progress to ensure alignment with the plan, schedule, and documentation;
• Manage each test phase and ensure compliance with test phase exit criteria.
Service Requirements – Qualifications
To fulfill this role, the QA Test Lead must have the following qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Administration;
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Test Lead;
• Experience with HR Information System is an asset;
• Agile and innovative individual, who can thrive in an environment of change and ambiguity, and adapt test strategies for a SaaS solution;
• Familiar with testing and incident management methodologies and tools;
• Must be fluent in English or/and French to write, communicate, facilitate, and present cogently, to and/or for all audiences, clients, internal and Project Integrator staff as well as Management.
