RESIDENT SITE STAFF FOR THE LYRIC THEATRE COMPLEX AND EXTENDED BASEMENT CONTRACTS Atkins, one of the world’s most respected design, engineering and project management consultancies, invites applications for Resident Site Staff for the Lyric Theatre Complex and Extended Basement Contracts. We are now looking for applications for the following position from highly motivated individuals keen to play an integral role in delivering world class cultural venues in the heart of Hong Kong. Candidates will be responsible for: Undertake quality control and defect inspections of the works in site; Report to the Senior Resident Architect on site; Interface with clients, consultants and Construction Management team; Review and familiarize with specifications, design / construction drawings, material and shop drawing submissions; Ensure the work is constructed according to the construction design. This includes ensuring all the materials used are in strict compliance with the Specification and relevant Standards; Review trade Contractors method statements, Inspection and Test Plans; Respond to Contractors requests for information, shop drawings and other submissions; Attend Site Meetings with different parties and resolve technical problems on site; Support the Q.S. team to monitor expenditure and general financial contract administration; Prepare monthly progress reports and make recommendations to the Senior Resident Architect and Principal Resident Engineer on technical and contractual matters including claims; Able to lead and supervise Assistant Resident Architects and COW team. Candidates should be Possess a recognized University Degree and/or Post-graduate Degree in relative discipline or equivalent; Professional qualification in related discipline required such as HKIA/HKIE/HKICM, or have an equivalent International professional qualification; Have a minimum of 7 years’ relevant post-qualification experience; Have a good working knowledge of architectural detailing and construction Have design management and coordination experience, preferably on a major theatre, Cultural building or geometrically complex building type; Have site experience either with a contractor or as a Resident Architect; Familiar with ABWF specifications, design drawings and approval of material and shop drawing submissions; Able to work independently on site whilst liaising with the project team; A good communicator; Knowledge of Complex Facades, Building Acoustic’s, will be an advantage. • ***Candidates with less experience will be considered as Assistant Resident Architect/Assistant Resident Engineer.*** Interested parties should send your applications quoting the relevant Ref.
