Key Responsibilities: • Manage departmental deliverables including project reports and financial reports, ensuring they are submitted to the senior management team and the parent company within the required timeframe. • Assist in developing an ongoing five year strategic plan for the company. • Work with department managers to develop the annual program budget. • Establish financial system budgetary control and analytical reviews in coordination with the Manager, Financial Control. • Analyse reports and suggest suitable adjustments to the annual budget to senior/executive management. • Manage and ensure the accuracy of the monthly budget variance reports in coordination with the management accounting team. Assist in explaining the budget against the actual report to department heads. • Analyse costs and provide cost optimisation and efficiency proposals to higher management. • Develop and prepare the user guide for new reporting processes; recommend changes and revisions as required. • Support developing project accounts for new projects; ensuring that financial data is captured in a manner that facilitates project cost and/or customer reporting and invoicing. • Assist in training new employees in the areas of project finance and reporting when necessary. • Support project managers during new project start-ups; explaining and interpreting any financial data included in the project reports. • Act as the point of contact for project finance and reporting related issues. • Supervise billing as per contractual terms and monitor collections in coordination with the supply chain. • Undertake special projects when required. • Support cross functional work coverage with other areas of finance on a need's basis. • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all company documents. • Perform other duties as required by the Director, Finance. Experience and Education: • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Finance or Accounting) is required, Master degree is preferred, or Equivalent years of Experiences in same field • A minimum of six to ten years of finance/accounting business office experience, with emphasis on full cycle accounting is required. Key Skills: • Previous experience on automated accounting systems is preferred. • Previous experience working on defence related contracts or on subcontract operations is preferred; for the UAE Military is an advantage. • A firm understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Accounting Standards (IAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is required. #ALTAIF
