Job summary
Database Support Engineer with good hands on experiece in Azure SQL, ETL tools
Proficiencies in the support model / processes to run operations smoothly.
Understand Database & support to meet business requirement for wider enterprise-level superannuation applications.
About the role
Providing database support to the end customer.
Logging and processing production incidents
Talking to business stake holders and users to determine the nature of problem they encounter
Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality
Create adhoc reports as per business needs
Documenting processes and monitoring database performance metrics.
Assisting in troubleshooting, diagnosing, testing and resolving technical issues related to any etl load and reporting.
Adhering to change management process and update runsheet/rollback plans
Assisting in production support issues and conduct root cause analysis
Optimization and performance tuning of the implementations.
Troubleshooting the incidents with shorter span of time and provide data fix for it. Ensure the business continuity without any hurdles.
Performing existing architecture reviews and assessments, and recommend efficient & long term solution
Managing customer expectations, leveraging technical experience and knowledge of industry roadmaps.
Skills and experience
Experience in SSIS, SSRS, Oracle, PL SLQL, SQL T-SQL, Control-M, ADF & Azure SQL Database
Good Knowledge in Source control tools like TFS, SVN, Autosys, Git and Azure Repos
Hands on experience in SQL server agent & job activity monitor
Having good experience in SSIS & SSRS deploying models
Working knowledge on performance optimisation and used SQL profiler and query execution plan
Ability to keep up with innovation in database design.
Have worked on Database migration support including migration of SSIS and SSRS.
Ability to manage code migration, document configuration changes, and monitor performance.
Ability to quickly establish good working relationship with clients
Have implemented Six sigma in one project
Able to identify & handle any security issues & proactively solving
Ability to effectively communicate with Business stake holders, system users and technical team members on any kind of environmental/development/business issues.
Strong knowledge on Software development process life cycle especially Agile methodology.
Product knowledge in Superannuation, Insurance, Managed Funds and Registry Services highly desirable
Domain knowledge on Share Registry systems.
Soft skills:
Good communication, analytical and presentation skills, problem solving skills and learning attitude.
Good skill on converting business requirements into technical solutions.
Strong trouble-shooting skills in analysing production support issues and providing resolutions / work-arounds.
Good mentorship qualities to help the team in delivery.
Able to contribute individually along with team lead experience/reporting to management
