We are seeking a Senior Oracle Test Manager for a 2 year fixed term contract for our client based in Hong Kong. This role will be based in Hong Kong and provides a full relocation package together with a very attractive compensation package.
Role Overview
The Test Lead will bring significant experience in the utilisation of Test Management best practice within a corporate business change programme. Working closely with the Project Manager, Functional Stream Leads, and Heads of Transformation, the incumbent will identify key contingency plans and tasks that need to be tested as part of the testing phase. You will provide guidance and coaching to the internal Oracle ERP project team so that they can be more effective when developing test scenarios or documenting and executing ERP test scripts. The role will be pivotal in ensuring that project requirements are successfully met in accordance with the Test Acceptance criteria prior to go live, and in ensuring the quality, consistency and integrity of the testing method, plans and deliverables.
Responsibilities
• Define Test Strategy for both Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Oracle Cloud Program
• Define Test Plan for Phase 1, which includes the definition of the number of ERP test cycles, functional scope & non functional scope, data and environment requirements, and to develop the ERP test scenarios which set out the key steps in the business processes that are in scope
• Socialise Plan with the Project team and impacted business functions for Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Oversee the Testing across the SIT cycles to understand the iterative testing which has taken place over the Phase 1 project lifecycle
• Develop a full and integrated UAT plan and work with the project office to establish milestones and resource requirements for the completion of testing deliverables ensuring that all project dependencies are planned, managed, and controlled.
• Ensure that full end-to-end business scenarios are developed for each cycle of UAT ensuring they are rigorous and provide an effective measure of system readiness;
• UAT scope should cover as a minimum:
• Every system process and variation of system process across the Phase scope (i.e. phase 1 and phase 2 will differ)
• Ensure roles and user access are tested for real world deployment (i.e. not generic access all user accounts)
• Ensure migrated and entered data are tested for Master Data, Reference Data and Transactional Data
• All systems interfaced to and part of the Oracle systems landscape are fully tested and in a suitable state for operational use at go-live
• All reports deployed to Oracle systems are fully tested and in a suitable state for operational use at go live
• Ensure support processes are included in UAT testing
• Test plan to include Payroll Reconciliation Testing for the ADP integration
• Contribute to project cutover and conversion activities
• Work with Business SME’s to identify appropriate business resources for testing and to work with the project stream leads to ensure that the UAT tester activities are managed effectively
• Work with the Project Team and business SME’s to review Test Scripts for completeness
• Analyse detailed test results and assess business impact of the defects raised to help assess prioritization
• Work with the Solution Integrator and Digital teams to agree scope of non functional testing
• Review, amend and sign off the Solution Integrator Test reports over phase 1 and phase 2
• Work with the business, Solution integrator and 3rd party support agents in a seamless “One Team” philosophy
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related discipline
• Extensive experience in a Test Management role with experience of complex system integrations, preparing test activities
• Writing test management documents (strategies, plans, scenarios)
• Understanding of cloud-based SaaS and PaaS market offerings, on premise / legacy systems as well as general application based infrastructure in both SaaS and on premise
• Experience with JIRA to help coordinate, create defects, issues and enhancements
• Good understanding of core Oracle Fusion functions and business processes
• Highly organized with an ability to multi-task and work to deadlines under pressure
• Proven strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in a large, global diverse team
