Staff Front End Developer – Product & Innovation
Medical Solutions creates software to support every aspect of a healthcare clinician’s career and the hospitals that staff them to reduce friction, increase operational efficiency, and improve healthcare outcomes.
Product & Innovation is a team of product managers, designers, architects, developers, and QA engineers that create and transform ideas into disruptive products.
We are looking for a Staff Front End Developer to join our team as we create products and services that thousands of people use. This individual will play a crucial role in delivering new products and features to our customers. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of talented engineers focused on building our suite of external facing products. This position requires strong analytical skills to understand how to develop software based on the end user's needs. The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities with ambitious deadlines and be passionate about mentoring the development team as you build high quality customer applications.

Responsibilities
• Be an example for people in exhibiting Medical Solutions core values every day
• Acts as a servant leader who guides the team to reach their goals
• Develop, maintain, and support applications that serve our external customers
• Establishes coding standards and best practices and ensures adherence by team members
• Prioritizes unit testing within the team to ensure a high level of code coverage and quality
• Leads architectural design discussions, coordinates team activities with Solution and Enterprise Architects
• Strong understanding of the business processes supported by our applications
• Assists in building technical roadmaps, works with Product Owners and Developer Mangers to prioritize and estimate effort
• Collaborate and partner with technical resources to identify and implement cross team dependencies
• Participate in scrum ceremonies as well as other SLDC activities
• Complete tasks on time and in accordance with acceptance criteria
• Stay current with the approved enterprise technology stack
• Produce technical documentation as needed
• Mentor less experienced developers
• Work with cross-functional resources such as UI/UX Designers, Backend Developers, etc.
• Participate in peer code reviews
• Participate in identifying new technologies and new design patterns
• Assist in production defect resolution and root cause analysis
• Serves as a technical subject matter expert
• Works with external vendors to ensure deliverables meet company needs and standards
• Provides input into teams and organization budget
Qualifications
• 7-10+ years in application software development
• High demonstrable knowledge of React
• Experience with agile development methodologies using GitFlow workflow
• Experience with web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• Working knowledge of the SDLC Process
• Familiarity with cloud-based architecture using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Services
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills to analyze, debug and fix technical issues.
• Proven self-starter and creative problem solver
Preferred Qualifications:
• Comfortable using work management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
• Familiar with logging tools: AppInsights, Dynatrace, FullStory
• Familiar with Microsoft Azure cloud, DevOps

Pay Range
USD $120,000.00 - USD $200,000.00 /Hr
