Data Strategy Partner Fitch Group’s Chief Data Office is currently seeking a Data Strategy Partner based out of our London office. In 2020, Fitch Group established the Chief Data Office (CDO) with a mandate to transform the way the organization creates, uses and interacts with data. What We Offer: • This centralized role is uniquely positioned to understand business priorities and strategy for the Fitch Ratings organization and unlock opportunities for the CDO to address the underlying data needs in a way that enables business growth and innovation, while mitigating risks and optimizing efficiencies across the enterprise. • In this role, you will be responsible for helping the business better access and use data to achieve Fitch’s growth goals, increase efficiency, foster an innovative culture, and create the best experience for internal and external customers. • As part of your responsibilities, you will closely collaborate and partner with the business and group stakeholders, providing data subject matter expertise and translation between business needs and the enterprise data assets and capabilities. • This is a formative opportunity to influence data transformation and innovation at Fitch Group. This position reports to the Enterprise Data Strategy & Programs leader. We’ll Count on You To: • Serve as key CDO entry point for business stakeholders to liaise with on data-related business problems and ideation • Represent all CDO initiatives at a high level with business stakeholders – providing clarity as trusted subject matter expert on enterprise data assets and CDO capabilities. Partner with business to identify and develop a pipeline of the highest value use cases and associated data requirements; manage intake process to support prioritization within CDO. Represent the business across CDO initiatives, working with Product Owners and Tribe leads to determine best approach to solve problems – e.g., does the solution involve new sources of data, Master Data Management, BI, Data Platform, Automation etc. or a combination; connect the business with the relevant CDO areas to engage deep subject matter expertise where needed (e.g., data governance, relevant product owners, so on) • Act as a source of business knowledge within the CDO team; enable the CDO function to better understand the issues faced by business colleagues; inform the enterprise data strategy and its execution to ensure alignment to business needs • Become a data partner to the Fitch Ratings organization and act as a domain expert which includes: • Understanding existing and anticipating future business use cases and data needs • Understanding how/why people, teams, and systems use the business unit data • Understanding the data flows in and out of the systems used by the business unit • Understanding how the data is analyzed and reported on by users in the business unit • Translating business use cases into data requirements • Communicating this knowledge back to CDO to enhance the team’s business literacy and help optimize data assets/capabilities to business needs • Stay on top of relevant market data and AI trends, identifying opportunities to provide advisory services to the business as needed What You Need to Have: • Significant years of relevant experience with data in financial services, with experience including any of the following: data strategy, data product development, data management or working hands on with data and turning it into actionable insights • Strong business acumen with ability to balance big picture and execution details • Exceptional interpersonal skills with proven experience in relationship building and partnering, influencing the direction and thinking of senior stakeholders • Self-driven and able to work at pace, solve complex problems and eliminate barriers What Would Make You Stand Out: • Experience with data analytics and AI/ML applications in financial markets • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, developing clear and persuasive analyses and presentations through emails, presentation decks and decision documents • Comfortable in matrixed organizations with a proven track record of generating positive impact • Exceptional teamwork, co-ordination, organization, and planning skills Why Fitch?
