Please note, this role is fully remote, however the individual must reside in Ontario. Our client leads cutting-edge studies that evaluate healthcare delivery and outcomes. Their researchers access a vast and secure array of Ontario’s health-related data, including population-based health surveys, anonymous patient records and clinical and administrative databases. They are recognized as a leader in maintaining the privacy and security of health information and are actively seeking a Full Stack Application Developer to join their growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Application Technology Delivery, the Application Developer will be responsible for designing, programming, deploying, and supporting software applications. Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop and implement software applications to meet business requirements and goals; 2. Provide application support, investigate application defects in production, identify the root cause of the issue, develop and implement solutions in a timely manner; 3. Provide architectural and programming technical expertise to the development team concerning methods, procedures, and standards to be used during design and development phases; 4. Participate code walkthroughs to maintain development best practices and code optimization; 5. Analyze business processes and practices to identify and recommend opportunities for enhancement; 6. Create and maintain application design, implementation, and support documents; 7. Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers; 8. Keep current on knowledge of emerging technologies by reading professional publications, and participating in educational and training opportunities; 9. Other duties as may be assigned within the scope of this position. Qualifications: · Education: University Degree in Computer Sciences or related field; · IT industry certificates required such as MCPD on Visual Studio or SharePoint, MCSA on SQL Server. · Must have Microsoft power platform related skills set · Job Profile – Application Developer · Experience: Five (5) years hands-on progressive experience with web-based and Windows .NET application development; · Strong development experience with C#/ASP.NET, Java and JavaScript/JQuery, web services, WCF/WebAPI, MVC, XML, SQL Server and stored procedures; · Strong working experience with object oriented design, design patterns, programming techniques, software design, data modeling, and Internet technologies; · Working experience of ColdFusion, MS Access database and VMWare · Web Development experience of using PHP, WordPress and modern JS frameworks · Knowledge of Collaboration and Content Management tools will be a plus. · Technical Skills: In-depth understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC); · Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills; · Strong communication and customer service skills; · Previous experience with healthcare information system is an asset.
