We are seeking a highlyskilled and experienced Senior Solutions Architect to work with oursoftware development and engineering teams. The ideal candidatewill have a strong software development background, exceptionalleadership skills, and a proven track record of deliveringhigh-quality software products, with a specific focus on deliveringsolutions on cloud platforms. It would suit any Senior SolutionsArchitects or aspiring Engineering Directors to use their passionfor using technology to solve real-world business problems.
Yourfuture duties andresponsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to teams in shaping products andservices to meet a unique set of operational requirements for thebusiness and end-users.
- Bridge the gap between businessproblem and technical development for delivery of high-qualityeffective products. Has ability to architect new solutions anddeep-dive as and when necessary to unblock issues and steerdirection for successful outcomes.
- Define and enforcesoftware development processes, best practices, and developmentstandards including code quality, test coverage, and modern SRE andCICD.
- Work closely with product management, design andbusiness analysts.
- Collaborate with other departmentheads to ensure smooth coordination of software development effortswith other business functions.
-Provide technical guidanceand mentorship to software engineers.
- Stay up-to-datewith emerging technologies and trends in softwareengineering.
- Ensure compliance with industry standardsand regulations.
Requiredqualifications to be successful in thisrole
Mandatory competencies:
A solid background in softwaredevelopment Java, JavaScript or C#/C+ and providing technicalleadership to development teams.
Experience architectingsolutions on any cloud platform eg AWS,GCP,Azure.
Comfortable building and developing Infrastructure templates withInfrastructure as Code using either: Terraform, Cloudformation,Deployment Manager or ARM.
Linuxadministration.
Good understanding ofnetworking.
Demonstrable troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
A passion for learning new technologiesand innovation.
Desirablecompetencies:
Experience of security protocols such asPKI, TLS etc
Virtualisation experience,KVM/Vmware
Cisco Firewall and Telephonyexperience
Certifications on Amazon Web Services,including Solutions Architect, Developer, Google Cloud orAzure
Scaled Agile Development.
Allsuccessful applicants must hold, or be eligible & willing toobtain, UK SC clearance with the view to progressing to higherlevel clearance if required.
