Roles and Responsibilities
• Coordinate with stakeholders on regional costs and operational performance.
• Implement cost saving ideas / practices with the front offices and sharing of best practices.
• Support front offices on tender negotiation.
• Conduct vendor management process & tariff updates in system during annual facilities procurement
• Manage and track on yard space utilization & inventory dwell time.
• Analyze operations cost on any irregularities that can be corrected/saved.
• Identify cost savings opportunities (best practices).
• Support tender and negotiation at the front offices (direct negotiation, if required).
• Initiate and implement cost saving ideas / practices with the front offices.
• Prepare regional cost saving calculations and verify local cost savings methods/ calculations.
• System administration on route setting & updates.
• Monitor front office vendor management (performance KPI) process & system updates on tariff.
Requirements
• Degree or Diploma (Maritime Business / Business Administration / Logistics)
• Experience in liner shipping, familiarity with intermodal operation & inland facilities and vendor management will be an advantage.
• Analytical mindset
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in MS Office application (like Excel, Power-point) is a must
