Job Overview:
My client are seeking a Senior Game Designer with experience in Web3 and blockchain technology to lead the design of our upcoming games.
As the Senior Game Designer, you will be responsible for working closely with the development team to create and implement game systems, mechanics, and content that leverage the power of blockchain technology (tokenization) and principles of decentralised-finance (Defi).
You will also be responsible for designing the tokenomic and economic systems that underpin the games and ensure that they are balanced, fair, and engaging for the players.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the design of game systems, mechanics, and content for our upcoming Web3 and blockchain games.
• Design tokenomic and economic systems that leverage the power of blockchain technology and create engaging and rewarding experiences for our players.
• Work closely with the development team to implement game features from concept to completion.
• Create and maintain detailed design documents, including game mechanics, player progression, user interface, and more.
• Conduct playtesting and gather feedback to refine game design and ensure a satisfying player experience.
• Collaborate with the art and sound teams to ensure that the game's design is cohesive and engaging.
• Stay uptodate with industry trends and best practices related to Web3 and blockchain technology.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in game design, with at least 2 years in a leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of game systems, mechanics, and design principles.
• Experience with Web3 and blockchain technology, including knowledge of smart contracts, cryptocurrency, and tokenomics.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for games and a desire to create exceptional experiences for players.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Solidity, Rust, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of decentralised finance (DeFi) and how it can be used in games
