Job Description:
We are looking for an Android Developer specialized i n designing, developing, and maintaining applications for the Android operating system. This role involves working collaboratively with a team of developers, designers, and product managers to create high-quality and user-friendly mobile applications
Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and test Android applications using programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design user interfaces, and implement features.
• Must have exposure to Android Architecture Components, full lifecycle of Android Apps: building from early stages, shipping through Google Play Store
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, identifying and resolving bugs to ensure app stability and performance.
• Knowledge of multi-threading and memory management specific to mobile devices and caching mechanisms
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices.
• Explore new technologies and techniques to improve app development process.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in Android app development.
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin programming languages.
• Strong understanding of Android architecture, components, and lifecycle.
• Experience with Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and material design guidelines.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
