EY Consulting Services is a fast-moving, high-growth area with huge potential. We are currently seeking a SAP Integration Architect Manager level to join our SAP Technical Services team. This team offers variety, challenge, responsibility, and the opportunity to realize your leadership potential. To address the shifting landscape of our clients' needs, EY has established a national Center of Excellence focusing in the broad topics of Enterprise Intelligence, Risk Transformation, IT Risk, and Enabling Technologies. Enabling Technologies primarily focuses on the design and optimization of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) packages like SAP, Oracle, and others. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including, Manufacturing, Pharma, Energy/Utilities, Transportation, Telecommunications, Entertainment/Media, Oil/Gas and Consumer Goods/Retail.
Your key responsibilities
As a SAP Integration Architect Manager, you will be providing technology architecture and technology consulting services and will serve as part of the overall EY team and it’s end clients. The specific resource(s) will focus on providing technical expertise in the areas of integration architecture, design and delivery. The role will also be required to provide team leadership, oversight and mentorship for junior team members; this includes providing support building out the integration practice. You will influence projects, vendors and/or SIs to ensure they are aligned with our approved methods and delivery standards.
People Management: Effectively lead the team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
Project Management: Participate in large scale SAP client engagements. Consistently deliver quality client services, driving high-quality work products within the expected timeframes and on budget. Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes. Manage expectations of client service delivery. Stay abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business. Should be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Should be comfortable interacting with a client, their SI’s, partners and vendors.
Skills and attributes for success
• Support Interface functional specifications creation. Lead sessions with key stakeholders from Source System and Target System and gather interface requirements e.g. integration flow, mapping, transformation rules, error handling, reprocessing etc.
• Integration Design, technical Specifications and code interfaces and frameworks on SAP middleware technologies (SAP Integration Suite, SAP PO/PI)
• System Connectivity: Create, document and establish connectivity approaches for applications in hybrid landscapes (Cloud, On-Prem)
• Cutover planning, preparation and execution including technical migration of interface objects, environment readiness and release objects to production environment
• Effectively manage team with diverse skills and backgrounds and foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service and technical writing skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing and integrating enterprise domain knowledge with technology skills
• Demonstrate characteristics of a forward thinker and adapts quickly to learning new skills. Curious about new and emerging technologies in all integration styles
• A strong work ethic and ability to lead a team of consulting professionals on multiple projects
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Business Technology Platform IS to guide customers on integration architecture, solution design and best practices.
• Great Integration and orchestration experience in SAP Business Technology Platform IS or similar including connectivity, cloud integration, API management
• Extensive integration expertise on all domains; on-prem, cloud and/or hybrid environment:
• Integration technology: Process integration, data integration, thing integration, SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Connector etc.
• Good knowledge and experience of various adaptors like ALE/IDocs/RFC/ webservices – using SOAP/REST/OData , FTP , Mail , EDI
• Very good understanding of standards related to security standards , message queuing , logging , error handling etc to be followed for integrations
• SaaS integration: integration with SAP and/or non-SAP cloud applications leveraging SAP Business Technology Platform
• Very good understanding of enterprise integration models, service-oriented architecture (SOA), REST/OData APIs
• Working knowledge of ABAP and worked in minimum 3 SAP S/4HANA implementations (Public , Private and On-Prem)
To qualify, candidates must have:
• Approximately 12+ years solid design and development experience in integration using SAP middleware and/or other
• Approximately 5+ years of experience with SAP Business Technology Platform IS (CPI) including Groovy and XSLT
• Highly experienced in Integration implementation: Process integration, Data Integration using standard integration content or custom
• Experience in performing assessments and creation on Integration Strategy and Roadmaps
• Experience in Project managing integration delivery using waterfall, agile and hybrid agile.
• Skilled in assessing, designing, sequencing, planning and recommending integration delivery
• Experience in providing Hypercare and technical support including knowledge transfer – plan and co-deliver training, report progress, status and requirements
• SAP Integration Suite or PI/PO certification and TOGAF certification is a plus but not mandatory
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or related
• Optional: ABAP development experience in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA, Experience in Other BTP Integration Services like API Management , Event Mesh , Open Connectors , Business Rules , experience in SAP Data Integration technologies like CI-DS , DS , SDI
