Our engineering services business is looking for a Technical Manager with a bias in Water to join the team to effectively and professionally lead day to day compliance in relation to water hygiene, including the support in procurement of, installation and commissioning services. Review of design and work processes for compliance to legislative requirements and contractual obligations. Provide technical support in the subject field to the projects and wider areas of the business; MEP construction and Facilities Management across commercial, healthcare, education, council and defence sectors. You’ll: • Provide technical and engineering support in the management of central procedures for both closed and open water systems. • Monitor the effectiveness of the Water Management Plans, safety performance and regulatory compliance of the organisation through periodic internal and external site visits and auditing activities. • Act as point of contact and framework manager for Water Authorising Engineer and specialist consultant • Review building and water systems design information to ensure water safety standards are maintained and potential risks are mitigated • Assess the experience, training and competence of key staff including RPs, CPs and subcontractors; providing guidance to the projects regarding appointment. • Design and deliver training and facilitating workshops (where appropriate) to ensure Authorised Persons and other key staff have the necessary level of competence. • Undertake investigations with respect to near misses and accidents, liaising with enforcing authorities where required in the role of a Technical manager ( water ) We’re looking for: • Expert understanding and experience in implementing ACOP L8 • Expert understanding and experience in closed loop water treatment (BG29 and BG50) • Good understanding and experience working with Mechanical Building services systems. • Working Knowledge of HSG 274 • Comfortable with handling data in excel and powerBI Equal opportunities We thrive through embracing differences, whether they be social backgrounds, ethnicity, disability, gender identity or expression, age, religion, sexual orientation and any other protected characteristic – we know that diversity opens a rich potential for new ways of thinking, helping us to build successful and high-performing teams.
