HEAD OF SUPPLY CHAIN
Key aspects of the Head of Supply Chain role include:
• Managing the Procurement team, warehouse department, reviewing metrics and performance to plan.
• Needs strong supplier & product knowledge, having a thorough understanding of the objectives of the business. You need to be able to create a plan to achieve the objectives and assign resources to that plan. You also need to ensure the plan's objectives are met and if not - the ability to recognise when it's not working and readjust accordingly. This can be achieved through managing the process, the systems, and the people.
• Defining company's Supply chain strategy by widening product and supplier base
• Taking care of adequate inventory levels for the company's operation,
• You will oversee and manage every stage of the production flow, from purchasing the raw materials to the delivery of the final product.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The candidate will need to have a strong Supply Chain Management background from within the food industry from Fresh or Chilled Food categories.
Other key attributes will include:
• Ability to maintain and grow sustainable relationships with our supply chain.
• Expertise in supplier rebates and understanding of growth incentives.
• Experience of leading and developing teams.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Commercially astute with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Experience of dealing with BRC Accreditation or similar.
