Join us in shaping the future of insurance PURPOSE OF THE ROLE The ideal candidate will use their passion for big data and analytics to provide insights to the business covering a range of topics. They will be responsible for conducting both recurring and ad hoc analysis for business users. Responsible for ensuring correct and timely implementation of Television and other Above the Line (ATL) advertising buying strategies and initiatives, including creating, updating, management and communication of dashboards, reporting and analysis of advertising schedules for Marketing department and the advertising agency. Analyze and interrogate Greenstone Financial Services (GFS) data assets to drive performance and optimize profitability across GFS marketing and operational activities through developing and implementing analytics insights and models. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Providing support in TV and ATL media buying • Producing and maintaining detailed daily dashboards using SQL and Excel to assist media agency in implementing and monitoring of TV media buys and strategies • Generate quarterly and ad hoc spot files and briefing spreadsheets to the media agency to send onto each TV network for booking • Assist in the implementation and direction of ad hoc and test campaign to the media agency in time pressured situations • Manage communications between AU and CA including the AU media buying team (Marketing and Analytics), Head of Advertising and CA counterparts. Understand and escalate urgent items such as data discrepancies received from the media agency. Analytics, insights and modelling across business areas • Interrogate GFS databases and external sources as required (via appropriate SQL / R code / stored procedures / functions) to develop and maintain reporting, analytics and insights that drive business profitability • Develop accurate and consistent datasets and apply machine learning modelling techniques to inform and optimize initiatives across multiple business areas (such as marketing, HR, operations, telephony and banking) • Ensure data integrity such that data from multiple sources is accurate and consistent across all analytics platforms • Understand and develop reporting, analyze trends and provide proactive insights on ROI performance across GFS Ad hoq queries Provide ongoing and ad-hoc analysis and advice to a variety of stakeholders to identify commercial opportunities QUALIFICATIONS • Tertiary qualification in a relevant Analytics, Commerce / Business, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Engineering or Statistics discipline • Experience (typically 3-5 years) in a similar insight driven data analytics area • Strong experience in SQL / R / VBA / MATLAB / SAS • Comprehensive understanding of MS Excel and other applications within the MS Office suite • Strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills • Strong communication and stakeholder management • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desirable • Experience with Python • Experience and exposure to media buying and advertising in TV Are you interested in working at Greenstone Canada, apply today
