About The Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mobile Engineer to spearhead the development of our first mobile application. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the entire app development process from scratch, making significant contributions to the project and the company.
What You Will Do:
• Lead the development of our first mobile application using React Native.
• Collaborate with product and UX/UI designers to build a great experience for our customers.
• Work closely with the backend and web engineers to ensure seamless user experience across platforms.
• Design and implement robust app architectures and complex user interfaces.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Raise the engineering bar, set development standards and identify and correct bottlenecks.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Proficient in React Native with a strong understanding of iOS and Android ecosystem.
• Familiarity with modern mobile frameworks (Rx, IoC/DI, analytics, A/B testing, etc) and tools (e.g. build systems like Bazel).
• Experience in building and deploying mobile apps from scratch.
• Solid understanding of mobile app architecture and life cycle.
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience leading mobile app development projects.
• 7+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with cloud messaging APIs, push notifications and building e-commerce marketplace.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and collaborate with engineers across various time zones
