Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose
A technical engineer with strong hands on skill on DC networks technology like CISCO ACI, EVPN, Vxlan.
Key Accountabilities
· Accountable for design, project and operation of Data-Center network
· Accountable for level 2/3 network support with 24x7 escalation
Job Duties & responsibilities
· Responsible to work with respective team members under whole network team for example Firewall team, GNOC L3 and L1/L2 duty engineers on the review of network architecture and design and trouble-shooting
· Responsible to work with the respective server and application teams' members in trouble-shooting and identify root cause, related to network
· Responsible to design, implement ACI/EVPN and L3/L2 networks
· Responsible to oversee L1/L2 engineers in onboarding and cabling works for network infra deployment
· Responsible to organize meeting with various team internal or external and engage right team or person properly so that can deliver project on time
· Responsible to formulate change scripts, and raising CR (Change Requests) via internal systems
· Responsible to document and update deployment scripts and network diagrams
Requirements
Experience
The person should have minimum 7 - 10 years of network engineer experience with the following skills and competencies:
· Hands on skill in design and implementation (CISCO ACI, EVPN)
· Hands on knowledge of routing, switching and other network infrastructure technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IPSEC, Multicast, Unicast, QOS, STP
· Experience with Cisco and Arista products specially DCI technology such as ACI, EVPN, Fabric Path, OTV, Vxlan, VPC+, MLAG
· Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or equivalent level in networking is an advantage
· Ansible, Python and Linux shell scripting is an advantage
· Prior experience working in big financial institutions
Education / Preferred Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science
· Over 7- 10 years of experience in supporting complex banking IT environment or equivalent
