Job Title : Senior Hadoop Developer

Duration : Long Term Contract (8-12 plus months)
Description :
Education:
- At least a Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration (MBA)-preferably a Masters
Skills:
- 7-10 years experience, with at least 3 years in Hadoop
- Experience with Hadoop internals, HBase, Hive, Pig, Java and Map/Reduce
- Understanding of schedulers, workload management, availability, scalability and distributed data platforms
- Strong experience using Relational Databases (RDBMS), SQL & No-SQL databases
- Experience designing large scale analytical databases across multiple operating systems (Microsoft and Linux)
- Experience working with a business team to define requirements for a BI/DW initiative.
- Experience with agile/scrum methodologies
- Experience working with multi-terabyte data sets
Preferred:
- Prior experience designing and building logical data models
- Working knowledge of Data Management related to data governance, data definitions, and data modeling
- Experience with Netezza
- Experience with C#
- Experience with BIML/SSIS
