We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Legal Officer to lead an experienced team in both the blockchain and traditional finance sectors. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a pivotal role.
Responsibilities:
▪ Lead all legal matters relating to the exchange, including negotiation of commercial agreements, product structuring, security token issuance and designing of exchange policies.
▪ Build scalable and effective legal processes for security token listings and trading.
▪ Advise on and support business-critical matters including licensing, partnership, fundraising and investment activities.
▪ Manage external legal counsels and corporate secretariat across different jurisdictions.
▪ Monitor developments and provide guidance in respect of evolving digital assets regulation in Singapore and the region.
Requirements:
▪ LL.B. or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
▪ >8 years of Post-Qualification Experience in legal roles, with a preference towards experience in financial services regulatory, capital markets, corporate finance or investment fund-related work.
▪ Understanding of and experience with digital assets exchange, blockchain, and related legal issues is preferred.
▪ Highly motivated self-starter and team-player, commercial thinking, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
▪ Excellent written and communication skills, multi-lingual is a plus (English and Mandarin) as you will be working across different cultures and geographies.
