We need to hire a senior engineer who can take the reigns on architecting complex features, as well as contributing individually.
You will:
• Architect solutions to juicy problems: building the AI workforce is not a simple mission, and so there are many complex problems to solve at Relevance. We need someone who can be given responsibility to understand these problems and help us architect great engineering solutions.
• Get your hands dirty in code: our engineering team is small, and so we don't have room for middle managers. We need people who are not only able to plan features, but contribute high quality code.
• Review code and help junior engineers: our team is full of extremely talented engineers, but many of whom are younger in their careers. We expect you to help them blossom through review.
• Work quickly: working at a startup is fundamentally different to working in a different business structure. By necessity, we have to move quickly - which makes balancing code quality and technical debt a challenge. Some people simply don't like making this trade off, and that's fine!
About you:
• You've worked for more than 3 years as a software engineer, ideally with some startup experience
• You're excited about our mission, but also care deeploy about what it could mean for society and the economy (both the good and bad).
• You probably work on side projects.
• Expert at Typescript.
More details:
• We're very flexible, however require three days in office each week. As an early stage startup, collaboration is key.
• Must be based in Sydney.
• Our backend stack is in Node.js (Express). Our frontend is in Vue 3
