Team ASRC Federal is actively seeking a SQL Server Database Developer to join our Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Development team. Position Description The successful candidate will: • Support database design and database development efforts for specific application project teams • Partner with service-layer backend team members and system architects to define resources within a contract-first design paradigm • Work with automated TFS and Jenkins based CI/CD pipelines to deploy Visual Studio database solutions to multiple environments • Build robust unit, functional, and regression tests as part of a SQL Server value pipeline • Troubleshoot database issues in multiple environments as part of a highly collaborative team • Prepare scripts for modifying and maintaining production schemas and data • Integrate Transact SQL code, SSRS reports, and SSIS packages into source control • Migrate client-provided data into existing database schema in a way that maintains the data integrity of the destination system • Participate in SAFe ceremonies, including Product Increment (PI) planning. Contribute to maintaining Project Backlogs are required There are some operational requirements, but the position need is mostly for SQL Server Database Development for Web based .Net. applications. Prior experience implementing large scale relational data warehouse on SQL Server platform a plus. Basic familiarity with C#/.NET coding and web-based development experience would be a plus. Requirements Required Skills and Competencies: • SQL Server 2016+ T-SQL development experience • Ability to provision new SQL Server logins and users and apply appropriate database permissions • Ability to import client data into existing databases while maintaining referential integrity • Familiarity with one or more version control systems such as Git, Subversion, or SourceSafe • Ability to performance tune T-SQL queries • Relational data architecture skills • Experience in a remote work environment • The ability to effectively communicate and work independently on a team Education And Experience • Computer Science or related technology/engineering degree • 1-3 years of SQL Server Development Experience in an enterprise environment; • Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must have at least 3 years of SQL Server Development Experience in an enterprise environment; Desired Skills • SQL Server 2016+ Administrative skills • Working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio database projects • Ability to write robust functional and regression tests for T-SQL views, stored procedures, and functions • Entity Relationship Diagramming skills • Experience with Red Gate database tools • SSIS design and implementation experience • SSRS development and deployment experience • SSAS design and implementation experience including writing basic MDX queries • Experience working with databases articles that are utilized in SQL Server replication publications and subscriptions Successful candidate is subject to a background investigation by the government and must be able to meet the requirements to hold a position of public trust.
