About the Role:
As a member of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for day-to-day maintenance and administration of the Linux servers within the environment with the primary goal of ensuring the highest uptime and availability possible.
What You'll Do:
• Work closely with the development team to deploy and maintain application infrastructure, from development through to production
• Participate in the design of infrastructure and monitoring tools for new applications
• Writing and managing automated deployments using various tools
• Designing and planning to improve infrastructure, including reducing maintenance costs
• Support of existing applications (including deployment and upgrades of in-house and externally developed products, resolving and triaging issues)
• Developing and supporting tooling to assist in the deployment and maintenance of products
• Creating and maintaining automation pipelines
• Coordinate and perform application releases
What you bring to the table:
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field or 5 years related experience
• 5 years as a Linux System and\or Windows System Administrator
• Linux command line and networking, since we work primarily with Kubernetes these are in use daily
• Experience in managing and working with complex distributed systems
• Understanding and awareness of security best practices
• Experience with scripting (bash, powershell, python)
• Experience with network protocols including TCP, UDP, DNS
• MS SQL knowledge (queries, backups)
• Docker/containers deployment using Helm
• Operation/management of self-hosted or public cloud Kubernetes clusters
• Splunk and/or Elasticsearch/Kibana knowledge
• Support and development of monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, AlertManager, Grafana)
• Experience in support and development of CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps, Jenkins and Octopus
• Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible)
