Client is looking for is Postgres DBA, the role WILL NOT be managing database
Client is looking for a candidate with solid Postgres DBA exp
This is for a PostgreSQL database administrator with solid experience to assist with establishing and documenting:
- Best practices
- Automated installs
- Security
- Monitoring
- Backup and recovery procedures
- HA/DR configurations
TOP THINGS:
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and RedHat RHEL 8.x
• Good verbal and written communication.
• HA/DR Setup including logical, physical standby
• Migration from Oracle/SQL Server to PostgreSQL
• Demonstrate consistent and independent ability to manage projects and the workload.
• Manage work according to criteria of costs, scheduling, and functional and technical performance.
• Maintain open and honest communications with clients, teammates and management for purposes of providing ongoing, timely status reporting.
• Communicate status, issues and concerns in both written and oral formats.
• Provide proper documentation for knowledge sharing and transition.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to adhere to company policies and compliance standards.
• Experience with PostgreSQL monitoring and performance tuning tools.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.

• Experience with VMs and physical servers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or job-related discipline or equivalent experience
