Your Role and Responsibilities We are currently recruiting Application Developer -Java & Web Technologies, based in Sydney. Role And Responsibility The Application Development team is responsible for supporting the full life cycle of enhancements. Your responsibilities include – • Work effectively individually and with team members toward customer satisfaction and success • Assist in creating solutions for client and/or internal review. • Participate in client meetings to communicate status or give demos. • Participate in daily code reviews to offer insight and ask questions. • Be keenly aware of timelines and budgeting to deliver in a timely manner. • Abide by team coding standards, development processes and best practices. • Participate in client meetings to communicate status/give demos and in Design review, requirement reviews. • Advise the team on business needs and acting as liaison between Client team and IBM team. • Senior Application Developer should be highly experienced in Insurance domain having techno functional skills. • Senior Application Developer should have 5+ years of experience working with IBM account and experience in Fineos product knowledge. • Senior Application Developer should participate in solution workshops to gather business requirements and to provide a risk free and user-friendly end to end solutions. • Senior Application Developer should provide support to client and should advise offshore team on the compliance aspects to perform the expected work as per client needs. • Senior Application Developer should participate in client meetings to communicate status, requirement clarifications or to give demos. • Senior Application Developer should have sound knowledge on the client processes, possesses niche skill sets in FINEOS application which will help de-risk the outcomes project in terms of delivery, hence can assist in creating solutions for client and/or internal review. • Senior Application Developer should have strong techno functional skills in FINEOS Insurance product, and excellent knowledge in functional workflow. In addition, the resource will coordinate with client Business users and IT, Product owners, Operations specialist, Orion & other teams to deliver the changes to live from build activities. • Senior Application Developer will provide business analysis support to client for BAU project and advises offshore team for converting the business requirements into technical requirements in an Agile environment. • Senior Application Developer should take part of audits and risk forums to demonstrate the controls in place to achieve the compliance • Senior Application Developer should represent the FINEOS in various IT forums to get the change approvals and to meet the non-negotiable Required Technical and Professional Expertise To ensure success in the role you will possess the following skills – • Strong technical skills in Orion, Control M and strong functional knowledge in Insurance system domain • Strong experience in defining and designing functional technology solutions/products • At least 4 years of experience in Insurance and banking domain. • 6 Years of experience in Orion Insurance Product. • 6 yeas of experience in Azure, Orion product, JAVA and Devops technology, Financial and Insurance knowledge, Fineos , WAS and Oracle. • Experience with SQL databases, Solid skills in CSS, HTML, jQuery, JAVASCRIPT , Web Technologies • Strong written and verbal communications • Experience in Agile methodologies, BPM exposure and Business analysis process exposure a nice-to-have Preferred Technical And Professional Expertise As above About Business Unit IBM Consulting is IBM’s consulting and global professional services business, with market leading capabilities in business and technology transformation.
