Role Description:
This is a great role with anyone who is a self-solver and brings a can do attitude to any challenge. You will help us drive our market strategy by evaluating best platform and approach to develop our site. Be able to develop a quick plan you can execute against and deliver fast results to quickly get the brand out and iterate to improve from feedback
Key Responsibilities:
- Research platforms to evaluate current need (simply and fast solutions are ideal)
- Quickly develop PoCs to validate approach and need
- Integrate with other team members to complete priorities on time
- Can manage effectively to time commitments and maintain quality in work (including from feedback, everyone has room to grow)
- Work to understand tasks and clarifications to pursue in each iteration as tasks are reviewed (discover our unknowns one step at a time)
- Able to quick research and ramp up on digital publishing technologies like Wordpress, Grav and more
- Apply yourself and proactively engage in community forums like stack overflow, product community forums and more to trouble shoot and get help
Basic qualifications:
- Have a passion for traveling
- Have your own computer to collaborate online
- Self starter who knows how to manage own schedule
- Proactiveness, progress over perfection mentality and always seeking to learn and improve
- Can manage work on own time, must make calls when requested and work actively to timeline
- Have access to Microsoft office / google drive to collaborate
- Ability to receive well considered and constructive criticism
- Thrive in a fast paced environment where you have the autonomy to drive forward to rapid results
- Must be able to legally work in the USA
- Ability to research key technologies and learn on the job to support responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications (optional)
- Familiar with Ubuntu and linux systems / virtual private servers / container management
- Familiar with Wordpress, Grav and other technologies
- Pursuing or already have a related certificate / degree; technical skills are a plus
- Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels
- Looking to turn this into a full time gig and wanting to prove yourself
- Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing
- Strong communication skills and detail oriented
- Experience with travel industry, including from deep passions
- An eye for aesthetically-pleasing color schemes, fonts and shapes
- Excellent organizational, presentation and writing skills
- Proven ability to drive for results, in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
- Able to multi-task and effectively manage several projects at once
