The Opportunity
About The Seller Platform Team
Our squad is a key part of the Etsy Seller Experience Teams composed of engineers and works closely with analytics in collaboration wth other teams to improve the seller platform.
We improve the seller experience by creating and maintaining a robust groundwork to:
• Ensure that Mission Control is stable and fast for sellers in all cohorts;
• Reduce the risk of instability in Cross-Platform features
• Improve delivery speed of seller functionality
We enable Seller teams to confidently build high quality, reliable and performant features:
• Providing guidance for developers and teams on the best way to leverage existing technologies;
• Identifying and resolving issues within Seller Tools which require architectural changes or new tools;
• Partnering with Enablement teams to achieve longer-term goals;
• Surfacing to leadership any trends or themes in developer issues which might require increased investment.
About The Role
• You’ll develop and own a product strategy that is clearly articulated, easily understood, and delivers meaningful value to our customers and business.
• You will be responsible for developing the roadmap and prioritizing product features, through continuous iteration and experimentation.
• You’ll lead a cross-functional team in crafting value for Etsy’s sellers, and often buyers.
• Through rigorous user research and analysis, you’ll explore, ideate, validate, and build products that are strategically aligned with our business goals.
• You will work closely and with top-notch designers, user research experts, data analysts, engineers and data scientists to create immersive and business driving experiences.
• Own accountability for the performance of key products in our seller platform, including impact to the business and our customers
What You'll Be Working On
Requirements
• 5+ years of Product Management experience
• Excited and passionate about solving small business problems, developing strategies and roadmaps, and implementing those plans to bring value to our business and customers.
• Experienced with using qualitative and quantitative data to make product decisions. You also know when and how to balance data with intuition.
• Inspiring, engaging and clear communication style; optimistic and forward-looking
• Natural collaborator who knows how to drive decision-making with Engineering and Analytics partners.
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience working in a marketplace or with third-party partnerships as a plus
• A passionate member of the Etsy community and someone who believes in Etsy’s vision, mission and values.
