Green Key is recruiting for a Data Engineer for a financial firm in NYC. This is a full-time, permanent role, based in Manhattan (hybrid work schedule), with a salary range of $140,000-175,000. You would work with data engineers, software engineers, technical architects, and other business units to design and implement data solutions (including databases, data warehouses, and data models) define data standards, and implement data governance processes.
Responsibilities Include:
• Organizing data assets for up-and-coming technologies such as GenAI.
• Driving the execution and optimization of data processes.
• Defining data governance policies, overseeing the implementation of data management platforms, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Developing and implementing data ingestion, transformation, and synchronization processes.
• Building data administration automation tools/methods.
• Maintaining detailed documentation for data architecture, data flows, and system configurations.
• Promoting data standardization, consistency, and improved security posture.
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data strategy, data architecture, data modeling, data governance, business intelligence, data warehousing, or machine learning.
• Experience developing and maintaining large-scale Python-based applications.
• Bachelors in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Understanding of data architecture, data warehouses, data marts, data modeling, cloud technologies, databases, SQL, and ETL.
Technologies used at the firm: Python/Django, Pandas, NumPy, PL/SQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Elastic Search, Redis, Kafka, Tableau, and third-party APIs.
