We’re looking for a Junior Linux & Product Support Specialist to join us at our Yaletown office. Job Description & Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting a variety of technical issues our valued customers may have with their Linux systems
- Providing reports and analysis of support issues for product improvement
- Keeping up-to-date on product knowledge
- Miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned, such as product testing and reporting, championing customer feature requests and working with other departments on product information updates
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good organizational and time management skills
- 1 year experience in setting up and maintaining Linux servers (Debian/Ubuntu experience preferred)
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- 1 year of bash or Perl scripting experience
- Familiar with fundamental Internet/networking concepts (routing, DNS, DHCP, etc...)
- Familiar with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL preferred)
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting mail services
- 1 year experience configuring Apache
- Experience in providing Tier 1 technical support
