We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of QA Analyst to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks. Hybrid: 1 day (Anchor days: Thursday) Contract Duration: 4 months Possibility of extension: Yes (Based on business need) Possibility of conversion to FTE: Possibly (Based on business need) Pay rate: $35 - $45/hr + HST Key Accountabilities 1. Execute, manage and co-ordinate testing for projects/releases 2. Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. 3. Responsible for the creation of test plans, test strategy, manual testing and automation testing. 4. Work with individual project teams, during the software development life cycle, to ensure business and technical requirements have been fulfilled; contribute recommendations and assessments to ongoing project reviews. 5. An active collaborator on the Agile project team, you are responsible for driving the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from the beginning to the completion of the projects. 6. Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance personal breadth and depth of expertise and proactively apply knowledge on the job; identify and recommend enhancements or modifications to QAT processes in an effort to continually improve overall department efficiency and effectiveness. 7. Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. 8. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Must Have Skills: - 3+ years of hands-on technical working experience as a QA Analyst performing manual testing and automation testing - 3+ years of Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans, test cases and automated testing framework (ATF). - 2+ years of recent experience ServiceNow end user - 2+ years of recent experience with integration testing is crucial for this role - 2+ years of Experience working in Service Desk/Service catalog requests - Previous experience working in both Agile and traditional Waterfall SDLC methodologies. Nice to have: - Experience working In ITAM Modules (CMDB, HAM, SAM) - Experience working in ITSM Modules (Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, Release) Management - Previous experience with Knowledge Management, Cloud Discovery and Optimization module and Vulnerability management. - Experience with performance and/or security testing is preferred. - Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing. Soft Skills: • Strong communication skills (verbal/written/presentation) skills. • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Sciences, or equivalent is desirable. Certified System Administration (CSA) is highly preferred
