Overview
Senior Software Engineer (Backend, PHP) - Hit It Rich ga is looking for a server-side engineer in the Austin or Toronto areas, with level of experience equivalent to a Senior Software Engineer. The role focuses on critical game components, user-facing features, gameplay functionality, and existing systems, with an emphasis on solving challenging problems for high-profile titles.
We have a well-rounded, distributed team and are seeking a self-driven, motivated engineer who communicates well, works effectively in a team, and performs under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have strong PHP skills and at least four years of software development experience.

What You'll Do
• Help to develop features and gameplay functionality in PHP
• Dive into the internals of existing systems to extend them as needed
• Create and work with data objects in relational and non-relational storage models
• Develop and integrate new technologies and tools
• Assist with defining and scoping out work
What You Bring
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience
• 4+ years industry experience as a Software Developer
• Strong working knowledge in PHP
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
Bonus Points
• Prior game development experience on shipped titles or live games
• Mobile development experience (iOS and/or Android)
• Experience with JavaScript, Go, or similar languages
• Experience with source control like Git
