About Our Client
Our client is a venture capital firm that manages a diverse portfolio across six funds. These funds primarily focus on investing in companies at various stages of growth, ranging from Series A to Series D. Additionally, they have a strategic presence in the Web3 space through their specialized Ocular fund, which focuses on opportunities in decentralized technologies and blockchain innovation.
Job Description
• Experienced in Cloud Infrastructure Management
• Oversee applications hosted on Google Cloud
• Ensure the system remains highly available and scalable
• Execute data backup and restoration when required
• Manage the infrastructure's security posture, ensuring it remains secure and compliant
• Conduct regular Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises (e.g., setting up infrastructure from the ground up)
• Assist in the development of new features requested by the team
• Build and maintain data pipelines
• Drive the firm's Technology Risk Management to the next level, by mapping the TRM
requirements to the firm's operations and ensuring compliance
The Successful Applicant
• Computer science degree or equivalent
• Proficient in one programming language, preferably Python
• Practical experience in deploying and managing production systems on GCP (or AWS)
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC); experience with Terraform is nice but not required
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes is highly desirable
