Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Data Architect to design and implement an AWS Data Lake solution for managing data from our SAP ERP systems to support FP&A processes in Anaplan. This hybrid role allows the candidate to work in Pakistan (Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad) with the flexibility to work remotely and on-site as needed. Additionally, the resource must be open to short-term travel to Dubai to support local teams during critical events.
Key Responsibilities
• AWS Data Lake Architecture: Design and implement a scalable AWS Data Lake solution to efficiently store, manage, and process large volumes of data.
• Data Integration: Build and maintain robust data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from SAP ERP systems into the Data Lake.
• Support for FP&A in Anaplan: Enable seamless data integration and synchronization to facilitate financial planning and analysis processes in Anaplan.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Optimize AWS environments for cost-efficiency, scalability, and performance.
• Data Governance and Security: Establish and enforce best practices for data security, compliance, and governance across the Data Lake.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with business analysts, SAP specialists, and Anaplan consultants to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• On-site Event Support in Dubai: Provide in-person support in Dubai for critical team events and milestones when required.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 8+ years in Data Architecture and Engineering roles.
• Proven experience designing and implementing AWS Data Lake solutions.
• Strong expertise in integrating SAP ERP data.
• Hands-on experience supporting FP&A processes, particularly in Anaplan.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expertise in AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, and Kinesis.
• Proficiency in ETL frameworks like AWS Glue or Apache NiFi.
• Strong knowledge of SAP data structures and integration methodologies.
• Advanced skills in Python, SQL, and other programming/scripting languages.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in hybrid environments and adapt to changing business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Data Analytics Specialty, or related certifications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira.
• Experience with advanced data security practices and compliance frameworks.
